Every month I make a list of what what my expectations are for myself. How many books I want to finish or start. How much advertising or takeovers I want to set up for the month and how much time I need to spend on Facebook, Twitter, and my blog.
So far this month I've finished one book, yeah I know it's only the fourth, and sent it to my Beta at Entrada Publishing. I've finished another one that I have to read through one more time before I send it to the Beta. I hope to have them both finished and revised and to my publisher by the 15th of this month but it kind of depends on how fast I get them back from Entrada.
I know it sounds crazy but my PA Ebony and myself have already set up 23 takeovers for the month of March and I can see us adding another few. Takeovers are a great way for people to meet me and learn about me. It's work but I'm willing to work hard to be a successful author, a dream I never thought would happen.
I put in fifteen hours days, seven days a week with time off for eating, family events or family time but you can usually find me in my office. I hope that if I work harder and longer then normal I can become successful.
People ask me what is success in my mind. Well I'd like to be making some money to help out my household. I've got one more child left that has to go through college in a year and I've dreamed of a trip with my family to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone park. I know this is probably reaching but I'd like to have a Bestselling Book Author Award just once.
Books:
1) Open Fields- done and sent to the beta.
2) The Perfect Wife- done, needs a read through before being sent to the beta.
3) Lacey's Shadow- finish
4) Rooted in Tragedy- work on, maybe finish
5) I've also got a 3 book series call the Breathless Series I'd like to work on.
I have several more that are in the rough draft stage but I'll be working on this year.
Advertising:
Do at least 20 takeovers a month.

*Help other authors. This is something I feel strongly about. I had a few people help me at the beginning and I won't ever be able to thank them enough. I probably would have quit if it wasn't for their support and encouragement. I thought being an author was about writing but I found out you have to market yourself to become successful in this business. Anyone who knows me knows selling anything is not my forte, and to sell myself is even harder. But I am learning more every day. Now I want to pay if forward. I want to help guide new authors and post for the established authors I know.
I'm going to try to remember to blog at the beginning of each month and show you the list of projects I want to try to finish. Yeah, I know, I have a hard time remembering anything but I will try my very best.
I want to thank everyone who has read one of my books for their support. You have no idea what it means to an author if they are told someone really enjoyed their book and want more.
Best wishes to every one. Have a great March.
